The 1950’s fibreglass spire was leaking. An Eiger Safety abseiling team to assessed the damage and issues around repair. Great care had to be taken while working on the spire as we were working around the four faces of the clock. We rectified the problem by coating the spire with a water proofing agent called Acrypol thus solving the problem and saving the Diocese the hundreds of thousand of pounds which would have been needed to replace the spire.
