Eiger Edge-Shield is a free-standing counter balanced system offering protection against falls from roof edges. It can be either fully galvanized, Aluminum and in harsher environments in Stainless Steel. For the permanent use on roof edges and balconies. On construction sites it can be easily assembled to prevent falls from roof openings, open lift shafts, stairwells etc.
Correctly installed, there is no possibility of Edge-Shield systems causing damage to the roof or subsequent leaks. The system does not require permanently fixing to the roof and protective rubber pads are applied to all surfaces intended to be in contact with the roof. It passes all current testing and conforms to the current standards.
It is height adjustable to assist levelling for aesthetic appeal and individual legs may be raised, rotated and/or removed for roof maintenance without dismantling the system.
Eiger Fold-Shield can be lowered flat to the roof area when not in use and is ideal where aesthetics and local planning regulations are an issue. Operatives simply raise the Fold-Shield and lock it in place when required and complete their task without being at risk. When completed it can be lowered out of sight safely from the edge.
Eiger Top-Shield is a guard-rail system for direct attachment to profile metal sheet roofing with a pitch of up to 10 degrees. It sits on a self-sealing rubber gasket which the base plate is then tech-screwed through this into the metal sheeting below.
